As part of a project to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, I decided to post, here, a record of my preferred Firefox settings. (A separate post provides a list of my preferred Firefox add-ons and some of their settings.) In addition to the following screenshots (which simply go through the options that I have currently set in Firefox 33), I am also providing links to a couple of posts that describe a few helpful Firefox tweaks:
- Adding Hotmail (or other) as the default mailto: address, to open an email message when clicking on an email link in a webpage: see Error: “Firefox Doesn’t Know How to Open This Address” and (earlier) Windows 7: Adding Hotmail as Default Email in Firefox 8.0.1.
